Our series continues highlighting some of the special, unusual, or unexpected collectibles we've acquired at Bookery Fantasy over time. This week we feature this lobby card from an obscure 1926 short silent film titled "Don't Shoot". But aside from being almost 90 years old, there are two qualities that make it more interesting than it might appear. First, it was only the 5th short film directed by William Wyler-- the Hollywood directing legend who went on to do "Wuthering Heights", "The Best Years of Our Lives", "Roman Holiday", and "Ben-Hur" among many more. Second, the young (19-year old) lady in the photo is none other than Fay Wray... seven years before she appeared in a little project called "King Kong"!
